I have just been enlightened over at Collective Hub of a new internet phenomina that is supposed to be "The New Instagram"... this could be FUN! Booodl is an Aussie start up social networking site, a new place where people go to discover what interesting people are telling the world about. You can follow people or publish your own things and attached a unique story. And, much like Pinterest, you can ‘collect’ or pin the objects that inspire you. On Booodl though, you can specify that you "want this", "have this", or "admire this", share directly to Google, Facebook, Pinterest or Twitter and even @mention people in your caption.
But it's the e-commerce element to the site that I find exciting. The once elusive, lust worthy pics of celebs will link directly to an online retailer with a buy it now button = genius. Openly incentivising celebrities and “people of influence” with a 40 per cent royalty on any commission Booodl earns for items acquired will bring the goods to the table - as they say.
Access to the cream of the crop; the ins and outs of their wardrobe, home, possessions... life, at the click of a button? Yes please! I'll have what she's having - instantly. *stalker alter* Did I mention there is a petition section where we can request who gets involved? Once it reaches 500 people, Booodl will approach them. Dear Nicole Richie please sign up to Booodl [head to the Ask Page to agree!].
I'm all signed up and ready to watch this space take off! Will you be getting on board with this new social media addiction?
